The letter that is delivered clearly appears to be foreign. The paper that it is written on can clearly be identified as not being from either Orlais or Ferelden. Moreover, it is clear that the letter has come from someone of at least relative wealth. The parchment is too smooth and crisp to have been from an impoverished writer.
It is written in an elegant, but curvy script. At specific parts, the ink seems to have bled through the page, as if the quill was pressed to the page too hard. Red stains the edges of the page.
Arrives 23 Guardian.
To Commander Samson:
I have held the pleasure of hearing of you from many of my acquaintances, some of whom I imagine are mutual in regards to the two of us. I am afraid that they can be terrible gossips, particularly when offered the right incentive to loosen their tongue. On the other hand, it appears as though you have not heard much about me. Perhaps something to remedy later.
Luckily, you have caught me at a good time as I am currently heading Southward for business. I should be able arrive within a few days time.
